On Monday 4th. September ( Labour Day here ) I woke up to a glorious foggy sunrise. Then it dawned on me, summer is fading, the kids go back to school tomorrow, where did summer go?
So it was up and out to take advatage of the good weather on the last day of summer vaccation.
The kids enjoyed messing about at the beach and looking out for various types of wildlife on the nature walk. Lake Ontario was a bit choppy this day and a few surfers were out taking advantage of the waves, or at least, trying too! The waves here were nothing like those back in Devon, U.K. – Bantham beach in particular, but being so far from the sea here, you have to take advantage of any ‘surf’ you can get.
Hope you enjoy the samplings of our last day of summer vaccation…….
